“There’s a moon out tonight (whoa-oh-oh-ohhhh)” as the Capri’s once sang. And there certainly is in this lovely photo of a soft orange moon, slightly obscured by stratus clouds and the lighthouse’s 5th order Fresnel lenses acting as a bright counter-light on a soft evening. Kewaunee harbor sees some spectacular sun and moon rises every year but this photo captures the essence of a quiet evening, the lighthouse standing as a reassuring symbol that despite all being well with the world tonight it remains on watch.
